Premier Medical Clinic to Implement ADS MedicsDocAssistant EHR

Paramus NJ – July 19, 2011 – Premier Medical Clinic (PMC) of Perry, FL will implement the MedicsDocAssistant EHR from Advanced Data Systems.

PMC’s 7 Providers specializing in Internal Medicine and Adult / Pediatric Primary Care will utilize the MedicsDocAssistant EHR to manage their patients’ medical and clinical information throughout their facility which has 15 exam rooms, two separate areas for adults and children, an in-house lab, and in-house Radiology services such as Nuclear Stress, Bone Density, Echo, CT Scan, Open MRI, Ultrasound and X Ray.

Vicky Marbas, Administrator at PMC said, “We knew we had to move to EHR for several reasons. Our patient volume alone pretty much dictated the need to go electronic and digital, eliminate paper and charts, be able to see more patients, be more organized and efficient, and have a more secure way of retaining our patients’ medical and clinical information.”

PMC is also anxious to capitalize on the Stimulus Act’s incentives for their physicians, all of whom participate in Medicare. “With one of our physicians qualifying for Medicaid incentives and the others for Medicare, we expect to “max out” at approximately $200,000 over the course of the program, while also eliminating the long term Medicare penalty since we will be using electronic prescribing,” said Ms. Marbas.
