EMRdirect™ from Advanced Data Systems Transmits Finalized Reports to any Referring Physician’s Stage 2 Certified EMR
Expensive HL7 Interfaces not Required
November 3, 2016 - Paramus, NJ - Advanced Data Systems (ADS) is pleased to announce its EMRdirect has been successfully implemented for sending finalized reports directly to any referring physician’s EMR without requiring expensive HL7 interfaces.
One of ADS’ largest radiology clients was able to successfully send reports directly into the EMR systems of several referring physicians. The reports were sent automatically as soon as they were finalized by the radiologists. “This is no different than when ADS introduced auto-fax to its radiology clients over twenty years ago. Now with EMRdirect, nothing stands between the reading radiologist and the referring physician’s Stage 2 certified EMR,” said Steve Hamburg, ADS Director of RIS Sales.

Finalized reports - sent as secure messages via Surescripts™ secure delivery - can also contain links to patients’ images assuming the PACS vendor makes that capability available. EMRdirect is EMR agnostic since all Stage 2 MU certified EMRs must be able to ingest secure messages.
